Honors English I (Period 1)
Course Description
We follow the coursework outlined on the syllabus (attached on the side), concentrating on writing skills, reading skills, critical thinking, speaking and listening skills, and analysis. We, through our daily routines and hard work, also prepare for the end-of-course English II test. We stay busy throughout class, and the students are held to a very high standard.
They must keep an A/B average to remain in Honors, and they may NOT cheat as it is grounds for probation (maybe expulsion from the track).
Honors English I challenges a student to grow as a reader, speaker, listener, writer, and thinker. I offer my promise that each day I am prepared, considerate, motivated, and knowledgeable. We work hard, and we work smart - there is no in between.
